Our CSO Nadjim Megdoud takes care of the establishment of AXSMarine security strategy. One of the main activities that Nadjim performs is related to security risk assessments and implementing security policies that prevent data loss and fraud.
What is your mission in AXSMarine?
I'm entrusted with the power to shape the security rules that will shield our company from external cyber-attacks. It's also important for me to ensure that these rules are correctly applied.
The battle against external exposure is fought with AXSMarine's formidable arsenal of digital solutions designed to thwart any cyber-attack. I'm taking care of checking all vulnerable places and positions of weakness for the company. But it is not enough to simply repel the threats; I strive to forge an unbreakable bond of trust with our customers. AXSMarine commitment to customer security is an unwavering promise embedded in the strategy. With robust security protection, I aim to inspire confidence, to stand as a beacon of reliability in an uncertain world.
What skills do you believe are essential for success in your role at AXSMarine?
To succeed in my role at AXSMarine, it's crucial to prioritize security objectives. However, what really makes a difference is integrating security seamlessly into the organization and each team's projects. This requires understanding and valuing the goals and aspirations of others on a deeper level.
Actively engaging with different teams, collaborating closely, and listening to their prospective are some of my daily tasks which I continuously improve. This approach helps me to easily implement security measures that align with our business strategy.
What excites you the most about your role?
My decision to specialize in the field of information systems security comes from its inherently cross-functional nature, presenting me with diverse and dynamic opportunities within a company. This role allows me to address organizational and strategic matters in the mornings, while engaging in technical projects during the afternoons. This blend of responsibilities provides a constant sense of novelty and fulfillment as I continually tackle new and challenging subjects.
Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give your 18-year-old self?
First and foremost, never give up. This will bring in your life new opportunities, improvements, happiness, and you will be able easily deal with difficulties and fears.
Secondly never be afraid to accept that you don't know. Embrace the fact that you don't have all the answers. This can bring and lead you down new paths through which you can gain new knowledge.
Lastly, make a lifelong commitment to learning. Cultivate an insatiable curiosity and appetite for knowledge in every aspect of life.
What is your favorite hobby?
My favorite hobby is circuit driving, and it brings me immense joy and personal fulfillment. Engaging in this activity requires a great deal of focus, concentration, and the ability to maintain calm behavior, especially when faced with challenging situations on the track.
Actually, these attributes have a positive impact on my daily tasks. As a security professional, I encounter complex issues that demand careful analysis and composed decision-making. The discipline and mental resilience developed from my hobby enable me to tackle security challenges with a clear mind and a steady approach.
