Windows System Administrator

Our office in Sofia was opened in 2011. Our team is constantly growing and we want to reinforce our global positioning. We are therefore now looking to hire a person to endorse the role of: Windows System Administrator.

 

Role

 

The Windows System Administrator’s main priority will be to work proactively with colleagues from all AXSMarine offices, providing them system administration support and guidance as well as resolving their software/hardware/network issues. The person on this position will also work on the internal IT infrastructure. He/she will have to analyze the current software, hardware and network configurations in the AXSMarine offices, make plans on how to improve them and proceed with the implementation.

 

Requirements

 

  • Good knowledge of Windows Desktop 10 and Windows Server (2008, 2012 and 2016)
  • Good knowledge of Active Directory – installation, configuration and management, Group Policies
  • Knowledge in Windows PowerShell and other automation and scripting tools
  • Experience in Office 365 suite and administration - management and auditing
  • Network troubleshooting including router, Access Points, firewall configuration, VPN, VLANs
  • Ability to provide basic OS, application, network and server troubleshooting to end users
  • Ability to explain problems, solutions and workflow to non-IT people
  • Proactive, patient, communicative and friendly person with strong organization and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent written and verbal English

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Investigate and resolve internal user problems with Office 365 and other software
  • Create, improve and audit configurations of Office 365 and Windows
  • Order and setup computers, software and peripheral equipment for new employees (via automated installation and configuration of OS and software)
  • Set up users on the network and provide username and password access to specified systems
  • Organize and update the GPO policies for different departments
  • Train users on good security practices, different software usage, etc
  • Travel to the other offices to provide support and training to employees on site (suspended due to COVID-19)
  • Maintain office equipment and continuously improve the security of the internal networks
  • Ensure all tickets are up to date and help others in the team
  • Follow up the status of problems on behalf of the user and communicate progress in a timely manner
